Citadel Holliday Alumni Center , Charleston , SC
Constructed from the “bones” of the old armory, the Holliday Alumni Center provides an anchor for the graduates of the Citadel. Using the former armory as a function room, we added Alumni Affairs Offices, a resource center, conference rooms, and support spaces to provide an up to date facility for the Military College and its Alumni. The façade reflects the traditional architecture of the college and integrates it with the campus master plan. The interior provides for meetings of various sizes with catering facilities to support a variety of functions. The center is used not only by the Citadel but also by local and regional groups, engaging The Military College of South Carolina in the business and professional life of the Charleston Region.
